JESSE MANDAPAT COMBINES HIS SKILLS AS A COMPOSER & SOUND DESIGNER THROUGH LOCATION-BASED PERFORMANCE & IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES.
Jesse’s interdisciplinary collaborative efforts developed while receiving his BA in Music from UC San Diego, under the guidance of composers Katharina Rosenberger and Lei Liang, and later on with the mentorship of sound designer Alyssa Ishii. Jesse continues to branch out into animated and live-action short films, as well as the world of themed entertainment.
Recent music and sound designs include: In The Ravine, an immersive performance directed by Brian Hashimoto and adapted from the short story by Anton Chekov; Francesca Francesca, directed by Megan Lewicki to be mounted at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Other interdisciplinary projects include associate design with Nathan Ruyle on collaborative partnerships with media artist Lars Jan, participating in the Walt Disney Imagineering CalArts Educational Initiative, and working as a Content and Production Consultant with On Track Themes.
